🏠 Housing
Stayed at Casa Capilla too — 250€. Honestly the owner is amazing and super helpful. The casa is small but cozy, perfect for meeting your housemates. Safe area, close to everything you need.
🚗 Getting to Campus
About 30 min by bus. No big deal, buses are everywhere.
✈️ Travel Life
Did all the classics: Mendoza (Argentina), North of Chile (Atacama), and Patagonia dreams in the South. Also easy trips to Peru and Bolivia.
🎉 Social Life
If you're bored here, you're doing something wrong 😂. Calle Ecuador, Matiz, Woo — you’ll always find a party.
📚 Classes
Nothing too hardcore. Good mix of chill and a few serious ones. Teachers are flexible if they know you’re an exchange student.
🦙 Other
Valpo is insane. Walk around, get lost, it’s the best way to find the magic.

🏠 Housing
I lived at Casa Capilla 🔥. Paid about €215/month. Super central in Cerro Alegre — best place to be for bars, clubs, and cafés. Some rooms don’t have windows (more like a glass door) but it’s honestly fine. Owner was super chill, no problems at all.
🚗 Getting to Campus
Took the bus, around 30 minutes. Easy peasy.
✈️ Travel Life
Did everything: Atacama Desert, Santiago, Salar de Uyuni (Bolivia), Argentina (Mendoza, Córdoba, Buenos Aires). If you don’t travel here, you’re missing out big time.
🎉 Social Life
Valpo never sleeps. La Terraza was our spot. Also bars like Matiz and all of Calle Ecuador = guaranteed messy nights.
📚 Classes
Easy mode unlocked. Picked chill classes like Espíritu Empresarial, Marketing, and got 100/100 everywhere. Exchange students get super good treatment.
🦙 Other
Always Uber home at night — better safe than sorry. And say YES to every random plan.

🏠 Housing
I stayed at Casa Peumayen, around €225/month. It was super safe and only 8 min walk to my uni. Shops were right next door. A bit far from the city center, but quick by bus. Overall, it felt good knowing I was in a safe spot.
🚗 Getting to Campus
Walked every day, only 8 minutes — super chill. Bus if you wanna go downtown.
✈️ Travel Life
Chile is THE country for travel. Everything’s doable by bus. If it’s too far, just fly from Santiago. I did soooo many trips!
🎉 Social Life
Valpo has sick parties. Hit Woo for the best nights. Cerro Alegre has bars everywhere. Good vibes 24/7.
📚 Classes
Loved Teorías Feministas y Igualdad de Género — super interesting and not hard if your Spanish isn't perfect.
🦙 Other
Bring a good attitude and jump on every plan. The city’s chaotic but magical.

Stayed at Casa Peumayen. Around 300€. Close to uni but a bit far from the party scene. Safe residential area, super chill to live.
🚗 Getting to Campus
Walked to uni — super close. Going downtown needed a bus or Uber.
✈️ Travel Life
Patagonia, hands down. GO if you can. Unreal landscapes.
🎉 Social Life
More chill compared to downtown Valpo. If you wanna party, Uber into Cerro Alegre or Calle Ecuador.
📚 Classes
Normal level. Just be prepared for fast Spanish!

Always visit the apartment before paying if you're doing it without Studcasa — safety first!

I lived at Casa Elias (found on Instagram). Around 250–270€. Super social house, chill common areas, always someone up for beers or trips. Cerro Alegre location = 🔥.
🚗 Getting to Campus
20 min by bus — nothing crazy. Plus buses are super cheap.
✈️ Travel Life
North to Atacama = crazy desert vibes. Argentina is easy too (Santiago bus then border cross). South Chile = must-do if you have time.
🎉 Social Life
Free entry to clubs for exchange students! Surf spots 45min away. Bars, restos, and nightlife are super alive.
📚 Classes
Not too bad. Chill if you pick your courses smartly.
🦙 Other
Take Spanish classes if you can — Chileans speak FAST.
