“I roommed with 5 other girls, which is a lot of people sharing one bathroom and one kitchen space, but you accommodate. It was nice that I got to met 5 people from the start. The best part about Walter Gage is that you are super close to all your classes (around 5 to 10 min walk) and the bus stop. Also, many exchange students also live there so you make plans all the time.”

“If you’re a student at HEC you need to join HEChange it’s incredible the events they hold are great - Saint Patrick’s day in the plateau is super fun and also travel to nearby areas in Quebec to ski”

“What I was surprised the most was it’s safety, especially for girls, of course as in every city there are areas to better avoid late at night, but beside that I always felt super safe going back home alone at night ( I rarely took taxis). The public transportation is excellent, the only downside is that the metro is open all night long just on Fridays and Saturdays during the week you can use night buses.Another aspect to keep in mind is that most of the shops/supermarkets are closed on Sundays ( except for the ones in the stations).Overall it is a super efficient city , you won’t have much to complain about!”

“The place was not fancy at all, but the neighborhood was very calm, cute with a lot of stores next to it. It is very local and the neighbors are always welcoming. At the end we had an argument with the landlord because she did not give us our deposit back.”

“We usually was hanging out at the dormitory. Gruuv and Root33 are great karaoke bars. Try Humalakoda amd Põhjala taproom for great beer”

“Public transport is okay and very cheap. Uber are cheap also (compared to France). Mexico city is a very big city but in the coolest neighbourhood you can do every thing walking (Roma Norte and condesa).”

“My biggest piece of advice is to travel as much as you can. Chile is an incredible country, but it's also the perfect gateway to explore South America. During my exchange, I visited the Atacama Desert, Chilean Patagonia, the Andes, Machu Picchu in Peru, the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, and Brazil. Every destination was unique and unforgettable. Step out of your comfort zone, say yes to new experiences, and make the most of every opportunity”

“I liked its location and the ability to make friends along my corridor and its facilities (gym, catered accommodation, ect). I didn't like the price (expensive for montreal and the food was sometimes not the best)”
