“My biggest piece of advice is to travel as much as you can. Chile is an incredible country, but it's also the perfect gateway to explore South America. During my exchange, I visited the Atacama Desert, Chilean Patagonia, the Andes, Machu Picchu in Peru, the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, and Brazil. Every destination was unique and unforgettable. Step out of your comfort zone, say yes to new experiences, and make the most of every opportunity”

“I liked its location and the ability to make friends along my corridor and its facilities (gym, catered accommodation, ect). I didn't like the price (expensive for montreal and the food was sometimes not the best)”

“Cost of living is cheap compared to europe but Almaty is quite expensive compared to the other cities of the region,
Download also YANDEX immediately after landing in Almaty, you’ll find everything you need especially cheap taxis in the same format as Uber,
There is also the Arasan Spa wich is incredible for only 3-4€ you can have a full access to a giant spa, sauna, swimming pool and bar.
Cheap alcohol, cheap cigarets life is good”

“Best clubs: Europop = Austrarocks, mixed white girl bangers / Latino = Vieux Manoir. Buy your Austrarocks tickets on the app in advance as no tickets on the door. EVE (uni bar / student events space) ran some amazing events throughout the semester with niches from techno to dubstep to reggae to Latino and the sound system is elite. Also follow Intègre (the international students association) on Instagram to join some of their social events - these can be hit or miss but are a great way to meet people in the first few weeks of term.”

“Monterrey can feel a little boring if you don't take the opportunity to travel, especially because the weather can be quite unpredictable. However, the city itself has some great places to explore, particularly Barrio Antiguo, which is one of the liveliest and most charming areas.
If you are living in San Pedro or La Fama, I also recommend spending time in downtown San Pedro. Every Sunday, there is a local market that is definitely worth visiting.
Keep in mind that getting to downtown Monterrey can become expensive over time, especially if you rely on Uber, as the distance is quite long and traffic is often heavy.”

“Transport is horrible safety is better than what people think it would be although take Uber at night obviously food not as inexpensive as you might think you have to go to Tianguis and eat street food
There’s always events in Guadalajara just be prepared for it to be different people are quite nice not all but they are helpful”
