🏠 Housing
Stayed with Modern Living Tokyo and honestly, it was perfect. I had a private room in a shared flat, 15 min walk from campus and 10 min from a metro that went straight to Shibuya. The place was spotless, fully furnished, and move-in ready. Zero stress. No agency fees, no sketchy landlord stuff just smooth and easy.
🚗 Getting to Campus
Super convenient. Whether I was heading to Rikkyo or out for sushi in Shinjuku, the location worked great. Tokyo is big, but if you’re near a good metro line, you’re set.
✈️ Travel Life
Weekends = Osaka, Kyoto, Kamakura, or just getting lost in Tokyo. Everything’s accessible — trains are fast, and the city never runs out of things to do.
🎉 Social Life
Had the perfect balance. My housemates were super international, chill, and always down for a dinner or karaoke night. Being in a shared flat meant instant crew — but I also had my own space when I wanted it.
📚 Classes
Nothing too crazy. The uni life in Japan is more structured than in Europe, but if you manage your schedule well, you’ll have tons of time to explore.

Modern Living made my exchange feel like home from day one. Reliable, clean, and super well-organized — 100% recommend if you want your housing to be one less thing to worry about. It’s the most stress-free setup in Tokyo. Just book it early and you’re good.

🏠 Housing
Modern Living Tokyo made everything easy. I landed, dropped my bags, and was unpacking 20 minutes later. I stayed in a studio in Meguro, super clean, fully furnished, and actually cute. Had a microwave, fridge, rice cooker, and even a little balcony.
🚗 Getting to Campus
I was about 25 min by train. Station was 2 min away on foot, which is rare in Tokyo. Huge win.
✈️ Travel Life
Took day trips to Hakone, Nikko, and weekend getaways to Kyoto and Osaka. Bullet trains = elite.
🎉 Social Life
Met cool people in the building — we did karaoke, cooked together, and even watched the cherry blossoms in Ueno Park. Chill but fun vibes.
📚 Classes
Stacked all my courses Mon–Wed and had 4-day weekends. Highly recommend.
