Not your average brochure. This is where bubble tea meets techno, and dumplings cost less than your coffee. Welcome to your most underrated exchange destination.

NCCU
🇹🇼 Exchange in Taipei
🏠 Housing
I’m living in a shared flat with 7 people I met through Rooms Taipei — and it slaps. Everyone’s on exchange, so the vibe is just pure fun. We hang, we go out together, and the place is super chill. Around 550€/month in Daan, which I 100% recommend. It’s central, safe, close to parties and the metro.
🚗 Getting to Campus
NCCU is a bit out, but the metro + bus system is so smooth it doesn’t matter. Plus, you’ll be living closer to the social spots — trust me, worth it.
✈️ Travel Life
Taiwan is a goldmine. I surfed at Waoi Beach (1h bus), explored Orchid Island by ferry, and booked flights to the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia… Easy and cheap.
🎉 Social Life
AI Club = open bar Thursdays. Music’s meh but it gets wild. Most parties are organized on student WhatsApp groups, so you’re always plugged in. Vibes are 🔥.
📚 Classes
Chillest semester ever. Barely any homework, and lots of freedom. I joined the Tai-Chi and Fire Dance clubs just for the experience — highly recommend.
🦙 Other
Taiwan is insanely safe. Like, zero stress anywhere. It’s hot, humid, and addictive.
🇹🇼 Exchage in Taipei
🏠 Housing
Found a place in Guting through a French landlord. About €500/month, close to everything — shops, restaurants, metro. The area was noisy and the apartment had no shared spaces, but the location made up for it.
🚗 Getting to Campus
It took about 45 minutes by metro to get to Fu Jen. Direct line, super safe ride. Guting is well-connected.
✈️ Travel Life
Hit up the Philippines, Thailand, Korea, Japan, and local islands. Everything is close and flights are cheap if you plan ahead.
🎉 Social Life
Hung out around Zhongshan District. Triangle Club was the go-to, packed with other exchange students.
📚 Classes
Loved the HR and Family Business courses. The profs really cared about exchange students and kept things interactive.
🦙 Other
Taipei is easy to navigate and super safe. Clubs are free if you go early. Fu Jen even offers a scholarship if you take Chinese classes.
