Taiwan is where East meets wild. Think night markets that never sleep, bubble tea on every corner, neon-lit streets buzzing with scooters, and hikes that'll leave your jaw on the forest floor. It’s techy, tropical, and rebellious at heart.

Teaser: Taipei Guide!

Not your average brochure. This is where bubble tea meets techno, and dumplings cost less than your coffee. Welcome to your most underrated exchange destination.

🏠 Housing (Preview)

One coliving spot has weekly cleaning, roommate matching, and free club entries. Another Airbnb in Daan has hosted 5+ exchange students already (and yes, it books out fast).

We break it all down, from Rooms.Taipei (The #1 most recommended housing option!) to hidden gems near night markets. You’ll know what’s safe, what’s social, and what’s definitely a scam.

“I’m living with 7 people — super social vibe, everyone’s here to enjoy.” – Zoé, NTU

📚 Uni Life

Our guide covers every uni: from NTU (the academic flex) to Fu Jen (the chill one with scholarship perks). Plus the easiest courses and what not to miss.

“All my classes were projects. Zero exams. Still passed everything.” – Mathis, NTU

🎉 Going Out

Triangle. Revolver. AI Club. A rooftop bar here, a techno basement there — Taipei’s party scene is sneaky good (and way cheaper than Seoul or Tokyo).

Whether it’s cocktails at Fourplay or open bar Thursdays, we’ve got the nights mapped out.

“Whole night out for under 10€. MRT back at 5am. Perfect.” — Clara, Soochow

NCCU

🇹🇼 Exchange in Taipei
🏠 Housing

I’m living in a shared flat with 7 people I met through Rooms Taipei — and it slaps. Everyone’s on exchange, so the vibe is just pure fun. We hang, we go out together, and the place is super chill. Around 550€/month in Daan, which I 100% recommend. It’s central, safe, close to parties and the metro.

🚗 Getting to Campus

NCCU is a bit out, but the metro + bus system is so smooth it doesn’t matter. Plus, you’ll be living closer to the social spots — trust me, worth it.

✈️ Travel Life

Taiwan is a goldmine. I surfed at Waoi Beach (1h bus), explored Orchid Island by ferry, and booked flights to the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia… Easy and cheap.

🎉 Social Life

AI Club = open bar Thursdays. Music’s meh but it gets wild. Most parties are organized on student WhatsApp groups, so you’re always plugged in. Vibes are 🔥.

📚 Classes

Chillest semester ever. Barely any homework, and lots of freedom. I joined the Tai-Chi and Fire Dance clubs just for the experience — highly recommend.

🦙 Other

Taiwan is insanely safe. Like, zero stress anywhere. It’s hot, humid, and addictive.

🇹🇼 Exchage in Taipei
🏠 Housing

Found a place in Guting through a French landlord. About €500/month, close to everything — shops, restaurants, metro. The area was noisy and the apartment had no shared spaces, but the location made up for it.

🚗 Getting to Campus

It took about 45 minutes by metro to get to Fu Jen. Direct line, super safe ride. Guting is well-connected.

✈️ Travel Life

Hit up the Philippines, Thailand, Korea, Japan, and local islands. Everything is close and flights are cheap if you plan ahead.

🎉 Social Life

Hung out around Zhongshan District. Triangle Club was the go-to, packed with other exchange students.

📚 Classes

Loved the HR and Family Business courses. The profs really cared about exchange students and kept things interactive.

🦙 Other

Taipei is easy to navigate and super safe. Clubs are free if you go early. Fu Jen even offers a scholarship if you take Chinese classes.
