Letโs make sure you donโt miss out on housing, tips & your future crew!
Teaser: Seoul Guide!
Not your quiet-campus exchange. Seoul is neon chaos, street BBQ at 4AM, and clubs that donโt close. Youโll sleep... eventually.
๐ Housing (Preview)
One option is walking distance from every bar in Hongdae. Another gets you hand-matched flatmates before you arrive.
We break it all down, the party dorms, the cozy flats, the scams to dodge, and the French dude (Sophian!) who placed 2,000+ students (yes, really).
โStayed in StayForU. No curfew. 4AM karaoke. Felt like a K-drama on Red Bull.โ โ Manon, Konkuk
๐ Uni Life
Group projects, campus cafรฉs, and the wildest student festivals youโve ever seen.
Weโve got the class hacks, which unis are the most social, and how to plan a 3-day school week so you never miss a trip.
โKonkuk was chill. I only had class 2 days a week. The rest? Hongdae or Jeju.โ โ Hugo, France
๐ Going Out
Hongdae = your new playground. Thursday Party, free bottles, and strangers who become your weekend crew.
We map the chaos: where to pregame, which clubs have a dress code, and why convenience store soju is your best friend.

๐ฐ๐ท Exchange in Seoul
๐ Housing
I booked through Sophian, the legend!. He matched me with two other international students (one French, one Mexican), and we even did a video call before booking. The flat was modern, super central, and cheaper than the Airbnbs I saw. Zero stress! The flat came fully equipped, from towels to rice cooker.
๐ Getting to Campus
15 min door-to-door to KU. Anam Station was 3 minutes away. Easy.
โ๏ธ Travel Life
Weekend trip to Busan with my roommates was peak core memory. We also hit Jeonju, Sokcho, and Tokyo (cheap flights!).
๐ Social Life
Our building had 3 other flats with exchange students. Instant crew. We cooked, partied, even travel together.
๐ Classes
KU is intense but fair. I stacked my courses MonโWed to leave room for travel. Took Korean Culture & Global Marketing, both solid and chill.
๐ฆ Other
Start early with your visa, flights, and housing. Trust me, no last-minute stress.

๐ฐ๐ท Exchange in Seoul
๐ Housing
Stayed at StayforU in Hongdae โ had my own room and bathroom, but shared the kitchen and terrace with a bunch of cool students. Paid around 530โฌ/month. Location was ๐ฅ: fun but calm (magic combo). Only downside: the room looked kinda old but honestly... who cares.
๐ Getting to Campus
It was kinda far from my uni, but the metro is so good here it wasnโt a problem.
โ๏ธ Travel Life
Busan, Jeju Island, Incheon, DMZ, Gyeongju... honestly just book and go! Korea is super easy to travel around.
๐ Social Life
Met people super easily thanks to the residence. Everyoneโs in party mode โ plus, Hongdae is a 24/7 party.
๐ Classes
Take simple, fun stuff โ marketing, econ, Korean culture classes. Mix and match depending on your energy levels. ๐
๐ฆ Other
Seoul is a sensory overload: spicy food, neon streets, random karaoke at 2am.
