Teaser: Lisbon Guide!
Golden rooftops, cheap vinho, and 3 a.m. friendships in sweaty Erasmus bars. This isn’t just a semester — it’s a fever dream with ocean views.
🏠 Housing (Preview)
One place is steps from the beach and packed with international students. Another’s in a luxury zone with 24/7 security and boutique vibes.
We break it all down: surf life in Carcavelos? Or Chiado nights and city chaos?
“Milestone was international AF. We surfed before class.” — Lucas, NOVA
“Casa do Torel was bougie but worth it. Felt like a hotel.” — Soumaya, Católica
📚 Uni Life
Classes in English. Chill professors. Rooftop cafés on campus. Some schools are central, others are by the sea.
We’ll tell you where you’ll actually study — and how much time you’ll have to skip off to Madeira.
“ISEG had a group chat for everything. That’s how I met my crew.” — Grégoire, ISEG
“At NOVA, it’s gym, waves, and Excel sheets — in that order.” — Alix, NOVA SBE
🎉 Going Out
Start at Erasmus Corner. End wherever the night takes you. Rooftops, riverside clubs, and secret Miradouros.
We mapped the chaos — what’s overrated, where locals go, and how to avoid paying 12€ for a vodka Red Bull.
“Pink Street? Meh. Bairro Alto was where the real stories happened.” — Justin, ISCTE
✈️ Travel Like a Pro
Sintra castles. Surf in Caparica. €20 flights to Morocco.
Lisbon’s the launchpad — we show you the routes, the hacks, and the ones you’ll brag about forever.
“Madère was my fav trip. Unreal nature, and the wine? Dangerous.” — Romance, Católica

🇵🇹 Exchange in Lisbon
🏠 Housing
Found a room through Idealista in Arreiro for €450/month. It was safe, clean, and well-connected — but yeah, be ready to send 20+ messages to get a reply. Coloc is a must if you want a social life.
🚗 Getting to Campus
20 minutes on foot, super convenient. Metro and night buses nearby made it easy to get home after going out.
✈️ Travel Life
Madère, Porto, Algarve, even Morocco. Lisbon is the perfect hub. I joined weekend trips through student groups and never had to plan much.
🎉 Social Life
Bairro Alto is where it’s at — skip Pink Street. Bars everywhere and always someone new to meet. Also: fado nights, beach sunsets, and Erasmus events kept my weeks packed.
📚 Classes
Courses weren’t too hard, and attendance was chill. As long as you picked smart, you had time to explore and still pass. Pro tip: Urban Economics had no finals.
🦙 Other
Don’t stress about finding housing — but start early. Idealista is slow, so spam and follow up. Also: eat pastéis de natadaily, no regrets.
🇵🇹 Exchange in Lisbon
🏠 Housing
Lived in a shared flat in Príncipe Real through Coolivin. Room was €750/month — not cheap, but the vibe was unbeatable. Central, clean, and full of international students. Way easier than trying to rent a whole apartment.
🚗 Getting to Campus
15–20 min by metro or on foot if you’re motivated. Católica’s in a great spot — surrounded by cafés, cute streets, and always something going on.
✈️ Travel Life
Madère was my favorite trip — direct flight, lush AF, and perfect mix of chill and adventure. Also did weekend escapes to Porto, Algarve, and Spain with other exchange students.
🎉 Social Life
Started most nights at Erasmus Corner, ended them in Bairro Alto or K Urban. There’s something happening every day — bars, rooftops, random house parties. The city doesn’t sleep (but you will in class).
📚 Classes
Took "Fashion & Sustainability" and "Marketing in the New Era" — chill vibe, great profs, and no intense exams. Perfect for learning and living.
🦙 Other
Lisbon’s addictive. It’s not the cheapest, but if you live central and say yes to plans, every day feels like a story.
