🇨🇴 Exchange in Bogota
🏠 Housing
Stayed at CentralX18 (aka LivinnX18). “Best part was we all lived in the same residence. Food truck for cheap eats, ping pong, terrace, big apartments. A bit far from Chapinero, but overall it was legendary.”
🚗 Getting to Campus
“We were in the center, 15 min Uber to campus. Cheap like 3€. Area’s a mix — La Candelaria is cute, Santa Fe nearby is sketchy, but no major issues if you're careful.”✈️ Travel Life “I did Salento, Medellín, Cali, Cartagena, Santa Marta, Amazonie, Guatemala, Chile, Perú, Bolivia. Bogotá is the hub of South America — just GO.”
🎉 Social Life
“Non-stop. Gringo Tuesday, Theatron, Video Club, Bambule. Our res had students from all over. Never lonely, never bored.”
📚 Classes
“Marketing, Spanish, HR... I picked ones without finals and grouped them early in the week to travel after. So worth it.”
🦙 Other
“Take a crap phone out at night. Got mine stolen and had the SEUM. Also: don’t walk home at night. Ever. Even 5 mins. Trust me.”
🇨🇴 Exchange in Bogota
🏠 Housing
R10 Casa del Sol – “Casa with 30 people. Reco ++. Insane vibe with the roommates, pure exchange energy. Definitely for the social ones.” Around €300/month, super good deal.
🚗 Getting to Campus
“Mostly took taxis. Candelaria is beautiful and chill during the day, but just stay smart — don't flash your phone or walk alone at night.”
✈️ Travel Life
“Did the full Colombia tour — Caribbean coast, Chocó for whales, Amazonie, Medellín, La Guajira. Use the Guide du Routard and go explore EVERYTHING.”
🎉 Social Life
“Nightclub: Kaputt, Videoclub. Restaurant : Madre, Jimenez, Crepes & Waffles. Took dance classes at SeisManos. We lived like kings.”
📚 Classes
“Try to stack everything on 3 days. Trust me. Talk to the schedule manager — she can help. More free days = more trips.”
🦙 Other
“Plan everything, especially your travels. The semester FLIES.”
