Exchange in Singapore
🏠 Housing
I stayed in a Cove flat with 4 other students. It was clean, had AC (lifesaver), and the Wi-Fi never failed. A bit pricey, but honestly worth it to avoid any housing drama (like some many exchange student).Tip: Pay a bit more to be near the MRT. Trust me, walking in 35° heat is not the vibe.
🚗 Getting to Campus
I was like 15 min away by MRT, super smooth. Everything’s on time here. Felt like I was in a futuristic movie or something.
✈️ Travel Life
Every long weekend = new country. I did Bali, Malaysia, Vietnam, all on a student budget. Just pack light and send it.
🎉 Social Life
People say Singapore’s strict but the nightlife is actually lowkey fire if you know where to go. We had rooftops, karaoke, and even a few warehouse parties.
📚 Classes
Kinda intense ngl, but it’s all about the schedule you pick. I got lucky and had Mondays off — 3-day weekends every week.
🦙 Other
The food here is insane. Hawker centers are the GOAT. Also bring a mini fan. You’ll thank me.

🏠 Housing
Lived in a student co-living in Tiong Bahru, super aesthetic area, cafés everywhere. Met a lot of people through the building’s events. Don’t wait too long to book or the good spots are gone. It moves fast here.
🚗 Getting to Campus
10 min by MRT. Metro is super clean, and you’ll never be late (unless it’s your fault).
✈️ Travel Life
Singapore Changi is basically a teleportation hub. Every Friday after class we’d pick a random destination and go. Flights are cheap if you book smart.
🎉 Social Life
We had game nights, pool parties, and even a Singaporean BBQ with locals. It’s not wild like Berlin, but you still have your fun.
📚 Classes
Pretty hands-on. Presentations, group work… but chill if you plan ahead. Also, profs are super international.
🦙 Other
It’s the safest place I’ve ever lived. Like, you can leave your phone on a café table and it’ll still be there. Unreal.
