ITESO
🇲🇽 Exchange in Guadalajara
🏠 Housing
I lived in one of the Conexion houses (Casa Arbol) with 11 other students, super international, always someone around to talk to. Big plus: Conexion connects all their casas, so there were tons of events where you meet people from the other houses too. It felt like one big exchange fam. We had cleaning twice a week which was great. Yeah, living with 12 people means the kitchen could get messy sometimes (no dishwasher!), but honestly, the vibes made up for it. If you're social and down for a real coliving experience, it’s a great pick.
🚗 Getting to Campus
ITESO was a bit of a ride, so I mostly Ubered. Not the closest, but the area we lived in was super safe and full of nice restaurants and shops, so worth it.
✈️ Travel Life
Mexico City is just a 1.5h flight away, and you can get basically anywhere from there. I also went to Puerto Vallarta by bus, easy and super fun beach trip.
🎉 Social Life
Honestly, Conexion nailed it with the social setup. Between housemates and all the inter-house meetups, I met so many people. Nights out were always fun Le Tom, Margot, and a bunch of other safe, cool clubs. You won’t get bored.
📚 Classes
Not too stressful. I was there to learn, but also to live, you know?
🦙 Other
The area I lived in was definitely one of the nicest parts of Guadalajara felt safe the whole time, which is a big deal. No regrets.
🇲🇽 Exchange in Guadalajara
🏠 Housing
Stayed in Casa Jalisco (Join) in Chapalita, found it via Instagram. Shared with 16 people, around 400€/month. "If you go big coloc, it's party vibes. If that’s not your thing, go smaller." Personally? I say go big or go home 🤙
🚗 Getting to Campus
Uber or sometimes bus. Chapalita is closer to ITESO, a bit further from TEC, but still doable.
✈️ Travel Life
Sayulita. Puerto Vallarta. La Paz. Roadtrips are a must. Hot tip: There are guided tours over 4–5 days that hit all the cool spots.
🎉 Social Life
Boîtes = Kanna, Tom, Aria... every night can be a movie. But also meet locals. Speak Spanish. It makes everything better.
📚 Classes
Didn’t mention specific ones, but the vibe was: don’t overthink it. Pick light ones and enjoy the ride 📚

"Talk to Mexicans, they’re amazing people. You’ll regret staying stuck with Frenchies."
