Teaser: Bangkok Guide!
Forget everything your uncle told you about Thailand. This isn’t temples and tuk-tuks. It’s chaos, mopeds, rooftop pre-games, and €1 pad thai. Real talk from real exchange students.
🏠 Housing (Preview)
Want 50m² solo studio with pool and gym? Or rooftop BBQs with 30 new friends on your first night?
We break it all down — where to live, what to avoid, and how not to get scammed.
➡️ Most Chula students stay at Nonsi Residence. Pool, gym, daily shuttle to class, and an endless supply of new friends.
Other options: Parkland R10 (quiet), Triple Y (fancy AF), or go full DIY and rent a flat with your crew.
“I started solo — made 30 friends in 3 days.” — Inès, Chulalongkorn
📚 Uni Life
Chulalongkorn is the top uni in Thailand… but no one’s spending 40 hours in class.
Get smart: group your classes on 2 days, pick chill group-project courses, and use the rest of the week to explore Thailand.
“I had 5 classes on Mon–Tue, then traveled 5 days a week.” — Philomène, EBA Program
🎉 Going Out
From €2 mojitos at Sitting Room to rooftop drama at Sing Sing Theater — Bangkok hits hard.
We mapped the full party circuit:
• Pre-games at Nonsi
• Wednesday = free drinks @ Mami Rose
• Thursday = wild Sing Sing nights
• Every night = new chaos, if you want it
“No one stays in. Even the elevators feel like pres.” — Lorraine

🇹🇭 Exchange in Bangkok
🏠 Housing
I stayed at Nonsi Residence, paid around 250–300€, and honestly? It was fire. Super secure, there’s a pool, and there’s a free shuttle every morning to go to class. It’s a great ecosystem to meet other exchange students — feels like a mini student village with better weather.
🚗 Getting to Campus
Grab in the morning = 15 mins. Easy. It’s not walking distance but who walks in 35° anyway?
✈️ Travel Life
Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Koh Tao for Full Moon, Koh Samet for a chill weekend... even Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia. I went everywhere. Don’t sleep on the north!
🎉 Social Life
Everyone was super open. You just bump into people at the pool or the lobby, and boom — new travel crew.
📚 Classes
No idea what the names were tbh 😅 but I had everything packed into two days and it was INCREDIBLE. Super chill schedule = max travel.
🦙 Other
Don’t just stay in BKK — travel like crazy and say yes to everything. Best semester of my life.
🇹🇭 Exchange in Bangkok
🏠 Housing
Also stayed at Nonsi. 290€/month including charges and cleaning = deal of the century. It’s THE residence for Chula students. Pool, gym, and you can live solo or with roommates (2–3 person flats). Everyone from my uni was there.
🚗 Getting to Campus
15 min in moto taxi (like 2€). You could metro but why would you.
✈️ Travel Life
Too many to list. But don’t skip Khao Sok (super underrated) or Koh Kradan. Everything’s cheap. You’ll go everyweekend.
🎉 Social Life
Moon Bar, Havana Club, Chinese Market for late night snacks + weird shopping. Nonsi is social AF — every night someone’s doing something.
📚 Classes
Depends on your luck. I loved Game Theory. Schedule changed last minute but whatever, no one’s there to become a professor.
🦙 Other
It’s the fast life. You’re basically a billionaire in swimwear.
